Educational Scholarship Assistance
 
 
Since Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS's) irshaad aali to the Dawoodi Bohra Community to assist in the efforts of 'upliftment of momeneen' several organisation have sprung up to do this khidmet. One such   organisation is 'Rabeha International' which was formed in the year 1992 by the raza mubarak of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (TUS). It was the first organisation to publish  'International Dawoodi Bohra Business and Profesional directories'. It has through its 'Business News Letter' helped many students with scholarships.
 
It has been noticed that many of our youngsters need guidance for further education. Many youngsters go for degree courses in 'Bachelor of Arts' (BA) or Bachelor of Commerce ( B.Com) etc, just for the sake of getting a certificate in their hands. Their parents have to spend a sizable amount on college fees for these degree courses which may not be very useful at the end of the day.
 
In comparison to such degree courses 'technical  education' such as electrician, plumber, carpenter, auto mechanic, refrigeration/air condition mechanic, computer technician, welder, machinist, etc would be less expensive and more useful. All of us have come across a situation where we feel- 'I wish I knew a good plumber   or a good carpenter'. In simple words, there is a tremendous demand for a good technician anywhere in the world. There is a good opportunity for them to earn a better income then a degree course holder such as BA, or B.COM. and also a chance to be their own boss 'self employed'.
 
In order to encourage our youngsters to take up 'technical education', we plan to support them with 'donation and/or qarzan hasanah' for their school/college fees.
